Stage
Performed Stories
The body knows things the mouth won't say. So we put on the nose, we fall down the stairs, we make eye contact with strangers until something cracks open. Clowning is just honesty in a funnier costume.
LOL! Clown Open Stage
Next PerformanceOn this evening, a squad of clowns will take advantage of the extraordinary opportunity to present their own material on stage—whether it's a witty joke, an eccentric circus act, poetic clowning, or simply a funny failure.
With us, anything is possible and guaranteed to be out of control! Join our creative mayhem for an unforgettable Clown Night!
What to Expect:
Laughing out loud, an evening filled with surprises, creative entertainment, epic moments, like-minded guests, and a huge bear hosting the entire evening.
The Practice
Trained in the art of failure. Which is a real thing, apparently—there are teachers who get paid to watch you mess up on purpose. Started with clowning at a yoga studio (long story), then studied the Hopi tradition of sacred clowning, where the fool speaks truth precisely because nobody expects them to make sense.
Performance work investigates what the body knows that the brain won't admit. The moments when the mask slips, when the script fails, when you make eye contact with a stranger and can't look away. That's where the interesting stuff lives.
Current focus: open stages, collaborative experiments, and any opportunity to fall down in front of people who appreciate the craft of a good pratfall. Available for shows, workshops, and situations where someone needs to make things awkward on purpose.
